Mountaineering
Treks | Himalayan Safaris | Mountaineering Courses | Himalayan Mountain Biking

Mountain climbing in India requires a written permission from the Government of India through the Indian Mountaineering Foundation (IMF). Expeditions from abroad are also obliged to pay a peak royalty (amount varying according to the height of the peak being attempted) and a liaison officer is assigned to each trip. The best climbing season in India is from April to the end of October.

Above 14000ft will take care of all your official formalities, which include seeking permissions, booking of the peak, government clearance and all other logistic details. Backed with the of experience of organising loads of expeditions in the last five years, the company will handle all arrangements from airport transfers to hotel accommodation, transport, high and low altitude porters, mules, camping staff, food, cooks, camping and kitchen gear.

At Above 14000ft, we will also help you with the extensive pre-trip information, planning, routes, maps, technical or any other details you may require. Please plan your trips such that it allows for 3-4 months of processing time for permits and other official formalities.
