Himalayas are one of the best places to ski. It's a sport that's catching on and a skill worth knowing if you intend to make the most of the Himalayan winter. What's more, it's also great fun once you get the hang of it. Our guides are all experienced skiing instructors and our equipment top of the class and safe. If you have a fascination for snow, then this course is highly recommended.

Course length: 5 or 7 days
Season: January - March

Accommodation
Manali and Solang Nullah: Hotels on twin sharing basis

Gear
All skiing-related gear will be provided by us but participants have to carry their own warm clothes. along with all personal belongings.

Indicative Itinerary - 5 days
Day 1: Reach Manali and move to Solang. Check into hotel.
Day 2: Lecture demo and practice on balancing, sliding, fall and recovery.
Day 3: Practice yesterday's lessons till lunch and after lunch learn Snow Plough Technique.
Day 4: Practice Snow Plough turns. Test all the techniques learnt in the last 4 days.
Day 5: Return to Manali via Vashist (bathe in the Hot Springs) and day free to explore the Manali bazar. Also visit the Hadimba temple and Mountaineering Institute.

Day 3: Practice yesterday's lessons till lunch and after lunch learn Snow Plough Technique.
Day 4: Practice Snow Plough turns.
Day 5: Work on Snow Plough Technique on different slopes and learn Snow Plough turns.
Day 6: Initiation into Stem Turns.
Day 7: Return to Manali via Vashist (bathe in the Hot Springs) and day free to explore the Manali bazar. Also visit the Hadimba temple and Mountaineering Institute.
