BEAS KUND AND BHRIGU LAKE
A trek that takes you to the two famous mountain lakes around Manali. Beas Kund is the birth place of the river Beas while Bhrigu lake is the place where the sage Bhrigu is said to have meditated.

TREK GRADIENT: Moderately challenging
Day 01: The participants arrive in Manali.
Day 02: Manali - Dhundi (3150m) by jeep
Duration: 1 hour
Drive from Manali will pass through Solang Nullah, famous for paragliding in summers and skiing in winters. From Solang, the road follows the Beas river to Dhundhi, the end of the road. The camp is a small walk away. Don't miss the first glimpse of the majestic Hanuman Tibba from the campsite.
Day 03: Dhundi - Bhakartach (3300m)
Duration: 3 hours
Gradually ascending from the valley, the trail continues to the scenic campsite at Bakartach.
Day 04: Bhakartach - Beas kund (3650m) - Bhakartach
Duration: 5 hours
Trek over morraine to the small lake at Beas Kund, the birth place of the river Beas. After spending some time at Beas Kund, trace the path back to Bakartach
Day 05: Bhakartach - Dhundi and drive to 14 Mod
Duration: 3 hours
Trace the path back to Dhundhi from where a vehicle will pick you up and drop you to 14 Mod from where the trek to Bhrigu starts.
Day 06: 14 Mod - Ravalikoli (3750m)
Duration: 5 hours
On the first day of the trek, the trail ascends gradually and will take you above the treeline with fabulous views of the entire Manali valley and peaks like Hanuman Tibba, Makarbeh, Shikharbeh among others.
Day 07: Ravalikoli - Bhrigu Lake (4235m) - Theli (3500m)
Duration: 7 hours
The trail initially gradually ascends before a short steep climb to the lake. Early in the season, the path also has snow patches. Take time off at the lake to soak in the 360 degree view. Local customs do not allow for camps to set up at the lake, so you will descend down to the camp at Tehli, a gaddi campsite which is almost at treeline.
Day 08: Theli - Vashisht (2600m)
Duration: 4 hours
The last day of the trek is a steep descent through pine forests into the village of Vashisht that is famous for its hot water springs, ideal for a bath after the trek.
