BEAS KUND
Starting from Manali, this trek winds through the famous Solang Valley. Set 13 km from Manali, Solang has good skiing slopes equipped with an excellent lift. A splendid valley between Manali and Kothi, it also offers views of the glaciers and snow-capped mountain peaks. The trail then goes via Dhundi and Bakartach to enter the Beas Kund glacier, the birthplace of the River Beas.

TREK GRADIENT: Moderately challenging
Day 01: The participants arrive in Manali.
Day 02: Manali - Dhundi (3150m) by jeep
Duration: 1 hour
Drive from Manali will pass through Solang Nullah, famous for paragliding in summers and skiing in winters. From Solang, the road follows the Beas river to Dhundhi, the end of the road. The camp is a small walk away. Don't miss the first glimpse of the majestic Hanuman Tibba from the campsite.
Day 03: Dhundi - Bhakartach (3300m)
Duration: 3 hours
Gradually ascending from the valley, the trail continues to the scenic campsite at Bakartach.
Day 04: Bhakartach - Beas Kund (3650m) - Bhakartach
Duration: 5 hours
Trek over morraine to the small lake at Beas Kund, the birth place of the river Beas. After spending some time at Beas Kund, trace the path back to Bakartach
Day 05: Bhakartach - Dhundi and drive back to Manali
Duration: 3 hours
The trek ends at Dhundhi from where a vehicle will pick you up and drop you back in Manali.
